Meeting Day: Sundays
Meeting Time: 10:45-11:30am
Sunday
School at St. Andrew's is an exciting program that teaches children bible
stories and how to live their lives as Jesus would! It runs every Sunday
during the school year. Children spend the first part of worship with the
main congregation, and then head upstairs to the Sunday School Rooms for
fun and fellowship until regular service is over. We like to think of it
as “worship for people who wiggle”!
Children from Kindergarten to Grade Twelve are welcome to take part.
The
children take part in an activity or discussion in order to respond to the
day’s story. Sometimes there is a hands-on activity, such as games,
crafts, or acting out the Bible story. We also read one of the scripture
readings from The Good News Bible, and then work on an activity to further
enrich their faith. Discussion is free-flowing and always interesting!
This past February, the Sunday School hosted their own Valentine's Day Bake Sale and Tea for the Cariboo Ministries. They learned a lot about the Cariboo Ministries, how to be team players and raised money for this great cause!
We
follow The Whole People of God curriculum. Our focus is not only
to learn about God, but to experience God. We have a deep respect for the
spiritual lives of children, and take great care as we help them on their
faith journey. We welcome questions and conversation with the parents and
caregivers of St. Andrew's Kids, as we want to work in partnership to nurture
our children’s love and understanding of God.
